Gentle Sea Adventures was created to offer a safe, supportive environment to explore marine sports and marine science.  We offer Scuba instruction, Sailing instruction, Stand Up Paddle board instruction, Environmental and Geological tours, and Emergency First Responder instruction.

Gabrielle Schavran is a professional geologist, NYS certified science educator, and a PADI master scuba dive instructor (MSDT).  She has graduate degrees from the Colorado School of Mines and Hofstra University.  Gabrielle has taught college and secondary level classes in geology (physical, geomorphology, hydrogeology, tectonics, natural disasters), earth science, marine science and oceanography, chemistry, and forensic sciences. She has worked as a professional geololgist, environmental consultant, college, and high school educator for over 25 years.  Gabrielle has devoted her life to sharing her love for the ocean, science and sports through her teaching.  In 2008 she started pursuing avenues to expand her teaching into the water through one on one instruction and group instruction. She has travelled to the Cayman Islands to work as an instructor for a marine camp at the Central Caribbean Marine Institute and as a facilitator for Earthwatch.  Her talents, wealth of knowledge and compassionate teaching style are a delightful experience.
